Description:
The Desert Valley Times, a twice-weekly publication in Mesquite, Nev., has an immediate opening for a reporter looking to get started in an exciting industry in a job that provides a lot of variety and room for growth. Applicants for this position should be thorough reporters with a knack for the details, have solid grammar skills and be comfortable using new technologies. A curiosity about the people, places and issues important to Mesquite will help the person in this position make inroads into the community and provide engaging content that readers will enjoy. As part of the Gannett family of products, the reporter in this position will have the opportunity for upward advancement while enjoying life in a growing town with mulitple casinos, lots of outdoor activities and an overall friendly atmosphere in a town 30 minutes from St. George, Utah, and about an hour from Las Vegas.
