UO School of Journalism and Communication seeks a dynamic, articulate and motivated full-time Director of Communication to shape and lead an ambitious communication program as part of a development and external relations team, dedicated to build brand equity for the School of Journalism and Communication. The director will be responsible for all aspects of strategic communication, public relations, marketing and internal/external communications, with the goal of effectively using traditional media, interactive media and social media to engage diverse audiences including prospective and current students, faculty and staff, alumni, donors, friends and public. The successful candidate will demonstrate strong strategic and tactical skills, advanced writing/editing skills, the ability to coordinate and produce quality work on deadline, and to work effectively with staff and freelancers.
