The Steamboat Pilot & Today, consistently recognized as one of the best newspapers in Colorado, is seeking an arts and entertainment editor to lead its coverage of the vibrant arts community in Steamboat Springs.

The editor is responsible for reporting and writing culture, arts, news, entertainment and lifestyle content as well as managing content on and helping to lead the Explore Steamboat social media charge. The editor will write for a weekly entertainment section as well as the daily Steamboat Today, including in-depth feature stories. Duties include writing engaging content, editing submitted work, compiling a calendar of events, occasional photography and videography, social media management, coordinating arts and entertainment content on multiple platforms including magazine and TV and helping with other news beats when necessary.

The ideal candidate has newsroom experience, the ability to multitask and working knowledge of Adobe Photoshop. Experience in content management systems and social media platforms also is important.

The workload here is demanding, but the result is worthwhile.
