Description:

The Herald and News of Klamath Falls is looking for a newspaper page designer/copy editor to fill out its talented 6-person design desk. This is a new position at the 14,500 circ., 6-day a week, a.m. paper.

The full time position is for evening shifts, generally 3 p.m. to midnight and includes page production, secondary editing of reporter content and online and social media updating. It includes feature pages, as well.

The successful candidate would join a team of six on the design desk. It can be an excellent entry level job for the right person, but also a great position for someone with an eye for strong newspaper design who can grab the reader's attention. Many of our staff move up to larger dailies and metros after a few short years. Experience with InDesign page building, Photoshop and Adobe Suite or a similar design software is highly recommended.

The Herald and News is part of the Pioneer Newspaper Media Group. The post includes full benefits.

Klamath Falls is a community of 45,000 in the heart of southcentral Oregon and close to northern California. The region includes many outstanding recreational opportunities and a great place to raise a family.
