The Multimedia Department of Germany's public international broadcaster Deutsche Welle, is looking for news writers to work shifts in its English language online newsroom in Bonn, Germany.


The tasks include:

- writing news articles for the internet, based on news agency material

- editing english news articles for publication

- selecting and editing videos for the website

- layouting content on the website

- editing radio news texts



- work experience in print/online newswriting

- experience of working in a newsroom with a high content turnover and time pressure

- sound knowledge of international politics and current affairs, especially European issues

- experience in sports news writing, preferably soccer (Bundesliga, European championships)

- ability and willingness to work night shifts

- English language skills: native speaker only, good German language skills

- willingness to move to Bonn, Germany

- radio experience (good to have, but not mandatory)
