Central Florida Editor/Producer


To edit copy, supervise freelancers and manage digital/print production as directed by supervisor.


    • Coordinate production of print editions of Central Florida Forums
    • Make adjustments for production, advertising, editorial as necessary
    • Review content before publication and work with content providers to make changes as necessary (online and print)
    • Produce cover of print editions of Central Florida Forums, including assigning and editing lead story and photo.
    • Monitor content feeds to all Central Florida Forum websites and coordinate necessary adjustments
    • Track content to ensure third-party provider fulfillment
    • Manage digital production
    • Coordinate day-to-day activities between content providers, Forums and Advertising
    • Edit stories for clarity, flow and organization
    • Ensure that communities are properly reflected in newsgathering efforts
    •  Travel to Orlando area at least twice a month 
  • Should have a journalism or liberal arts degree or equivalent work experience.
  • Should have excellent online production skills
  • Should have the ability to work under pressure.
  • Should be able to use the newsroom computer system.
  • Should be flexible, able to switch gears quickly as production dictates
  • Should have knowledge of AP style.
  • Some supervisory experience
  • Self-starter, creative thinker
