Visual Journalist

The Huffington Post is looking for a visual journalist with a keen interest in news and politics to join our data journalism desk. 

You'll work on a small team in the Huffington Post newsroom in New York City, using information design and web development to help readers explore and understand the data behind the news. You'll pitch, design and develop graphics, interactives and news applications.

The ideal candidate is familiar with site design and development and comfortable using front-end web technologies (HTML,CSS, Javascript) along with data visualization and mapping tools (Raphael, D3, Processing, WebGL, TileMill).

We'd like you to have good news judgement and a solid understanding of current events and American politics. And we'd like you to be as excited as we are about pushing the boundaries of online storytelling through databases, maps and data visualization.
