Join the Tri-City Herald, an award-winning McClatchy Co. newspaper (32,000 circ.) in Southeast Washington’s growing and diverse communities of Kennewick, Richland and Pasco.
 
We’re looking for an experienced, multitalented copy editor/page designer for our newsroom. Candidates should be innovative and have solid news judgment. You will edit staff and wire copy, write headlines, design news and feature pages, select wire stories and budget wire pages on daily deadlines.
 
We work in a digital news environment. You will manage website content and be actively engaged with social media (Facebook, Twitter), publishing to various platforms throughout the day.
 
Good organizational and time management skills are a must. Candidates must be able to work independently and proactively with reporters, editors and other departments. You should be adept with pagination software; familiarity with Quark XPress and knowledge of Photoshop are a plus. Candidates must be open to working a flexible schedule.
