Description:

 

The editor will be responsible for producing an informative, interesting and accurate weekly publication on a deadline by planning, directing and coordinating the conception, copywriting, design and production of the publication. The editor will oversee, manage and grow the expanding online and social media presence. The editor will be responsible for attending professional and social events relevant to the publication and its audience.
 
The candidate must demonstrate good judgment and exceptional writing, editing, management, leadership and coaching skills; be organized and work independently but also be responsive to direction; strictly enforce deadlines and be able to work under tight deadlines.
 
The preferred candidate will have a minimum of four to six years of related experience. A degree in journalism, English, or related liberal arts is required. The candidate needs to be familiar with InDesign, Photoshop, Word and Excel and must have strong digital and social media skills. Knowledge of video and multimedia tools required.
