Description:
Loudoun County-based weekly newspaper with daily online website has an immediate opening for a full-time staff reporter.

The position requires the production of at least six stories per week with regular weekend and evening assignments. Candidates should have strong news writing skills, through knowledge of AP Style and the ability to originate and investigate unique news items.

This position is entry-level, although candidates with newsroom experience considered.

As a representative of the publication, candidates should have an outgoing and professional demeanor, an ability to develop sources and provide a point of contact for local contacts. Familiarity with social media and video production preferred. Candidates with knowledge or ties to Loudoun County or Northern Virginia are encouraged.

There is a writing and editing test provided during the interview process.
