Can you help us win a Pulitzer?

We have smart, energized reporters who are always looking for the next challenge.

They like to take risks. They like to push themselves. And they need a newsroom leader who can coach this team of six reporters to be the best in their field.

We’re looking for a managing editor who has a passion for project reporting, with the time management skills to help reporters navigate their daily beats. You’ll be the assigning and front-line editor for all A section print content. You’ll work with section leaders to make sure our Ag, Business, Religion, Entertainment and Food sections sing.

We’re a digital-first newsroom. The Times-News managing editor works in partnership with our managing editor-online and the Web team to make sure our online presence is fresh and interesting – all day, every day.

We are a family friendly and affordable community with access to world-class skiing a little more than an hour away, the best trout stream in the United States an hour drive from your front door, not to mention access to kayaking, hiking, biking and hunting in all directions.

The Times-News is a 17,500-circulation daily newspaper (21,500 on Sundays) owned by Lee Enterprises. It offers a competitive salary, medical, dental, vision, and life insurance benefits, vacation, sick, holiday pay and 401K-retirement plan.
