Digital Marketing Associate

Historic Hudson Valley (, a Westchester-based cultural non-profit that welcomes visitors to six National Historic Landmarks, presents public tours, programs for schoolchildren, and seasonal festivals including the Great Jack O’Lantern Blaze.

Historic Hudson Valley’s Marketing, Public Relations, and New Media Department seeks an experienced, digital savvy Associate who will take ownership of key areas of HHV’s promotion portfolio while providing significant contributions in all others. The Associate supports all aspects of HHV’s marketing department including providing general administrative support, and serves as a key internal liaison.

Traditional lines between marketing, media relations, publishing, and customer engagement are blurring like never before. HHV’s Marketing Department embraces these changes as a source of growth and employs strategies that take advantage of new opportunities. The Associate will help the department increase revenue, visibility, and awareness for Historic Hudson Valley and the organization’s initiatives, both on-site and online.

The ideal candidate will have three to seven years of professional experience with a proven track record in digital media, journalism, and/or public relations, preferably with exposure to cultural or entertainment organizations, expertise in writing for the web, producing digital multimedia content, and traditional media relations.

Strong written communication skills are essential, as are strong technical and digital skills including proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, online content management systems, HTML, and a clear ability and desire to come to speed quickly on other digital platforms. The position will require you to be organized, to efficiently multi-task, to be ruthless about meeting deadlines, and to be flexible.

Primary specific responsibilities include but are not limited to creating and administering web content via a CMS; social media management; email marketing; photo and video editing; overseeing print collateral production; audience research; media relations.

This is an ideal role for a junior staffer with outsize talent eager and ready to take on larger responsibilities, or a mid-level professional seeking new challenges.
