Crittenden Research Inc., a publisher of national newsletters covering real estate and insurance for more than 40 years, has an immediate opening for one full-time, entry-level reporter/researcher in our Novato, Calif., office.

This position is a great opportunity for recent journalism school graduates looking to start their career on the ground floor.  Successful candidates will have a command of AP style, keen attention to detail, and a passion for reporting on a highly focused business publication.  We prefer candidates who have worked in a deadline-driven environment, such as a campus newspaper, internship or professional media outlet.  Familiarity with the commercial insurance industry or financial markets will be a plus.
This full-time position will entail working under the direction of an editor and senior reporter(s), initially to gather data, report on such data to associates, enter data in a database, and write summaries for publication on a daily deadline.  These duties will grow to include reporting on aspects of commercial insurance, through research and directly from sources, and writing analytical business-to-business stories for weekly publications.  Other duties may include additional research, copy editing, proofing or additional reporting.  Candidates must pass a copyediting and simple writing test.  A bachelor’s degree is required.
Crittenden offers a casual and friendly workplace with opportunities for growth commensurate with effort as well as competitive wages and benefits.
To apply, please send your resume along with an introductory letter detailing why you are the ideal candidate to Patrick Konoske at
