The Fayetteville Observer is looking for a versatile and enthusiastic writer to join our award-winning team. The job has two key elements: We need someone who can write with knowledge and flair about our retail and restaurant community in one of our most popular columns. And we want a writer who has fresh ideas for a variety of features sections and our front page. Can you can help us stay on top of trends and how they are playing in our community? Do you enjoy writing about lifestyle topics -- pop culture, fashion, food, health, fitness, family, home, travel and technology? Then you could be our person. We have the best Sunday magazine among North Carolina newspapers. Can you come in and help us make it better?

Our 50,000-circulation paper consistently wins statewide awards for enterprise reporting, writing, design and photography. The North Carolina Press Association has named the Observer the best paper among the state’s largest newspapers. Independently owned, we’re located about an hour from Raleigh and an hour and a half from the coast.
