POLITICO is seeking a dynamic, highly organized, tech-savvy individual to aid senior leadership in setting the company’s major web-development priorities – and then work closely with the web-development team to meet them.  The project manager will collect and analyze development requests from editorial, sales, marketing, events, video, etc.; work with the web-development team to determine the feasibility of the requests and create estimates of the time needed to complete them; present the larger requests to senior leadership for discussion; prioritize the smaller requests directly; prepare requirements for the web-development team as needed; oversee review, testing and launching of new projects; and maintains constant communication with both the development team and senior leadership as the projects come to fruition.

Qualifications

The project manager must have a keen understanding of POLITICO’s mission; excellent communication, organizational and diplomatic skills; the confidence to make decisions effectively and the awareness to escalate them when necessary; and the ability to see both the forest and the trees every day. Experience with agile project management, technical requirements and development is a plus, as is a PMP certification.
