Comcast is looking for qualified candidates for the position of Executive Director, XfinityTV Programming. The position is responsible for defining XfinityTV’s creative vision, strategic roadmap, and managing the day-to-day performance of the channel (profitability, traffic, engagement). 

Specific responsibilities will include:

  • Help define XFTV’s creative vision, editorial strategy, roadmap and set success metrics/goals
  • Develop and implement tactics for achieving metrics and goals
    • Manage editorial and marketing teams who are responsible for day-to-day programming of all platforms
    • Manage channel traffic and audience engagement/retention
    • Achieve revenue and profit targets
  • Work with the product development team to define features/functionality/content needed for XFTV in its current state as well as future product launches. Continuously evaluate performance and adjust as necessary
  • Manage the channel as a business with an eye towards maximizing engagement, usage, retention and revenue (upsell, advertising, etc)
    • Work with analytics team to understand what features/ functionality/ content resonate with users and which don’t.
    • Understand audience segments
    • Understand and act upon user feedback
    • Work closely with online ad sales, cable marketing (upsell) teams to develop strategies and manage performance
  • Execute cross-platform tentpole programming/marketing initiatives
  • Oversee tune-in marketing for the content available across platforms including cross channel spots, Video On Demand barker, dynamic ad insertion spots, direct mail, email and other tactics
  • Play a leading role in the TV Everywhere strategy of the company which includes viewership on the XfinityTV platforms as well as partner sites and apps
  • Understand industry dynamics and trends to identify product and content opportunities and partnerships. Conduct competitive analysis and identify areas for differentiation, including features, functionality, and content.
  • Collaborate with a cross-functional team, including business development, analytics, product development, design, content acquisition, operations, marketing, cable marketing and engineering to achieve XfinityTV’s goals 


  • Bachelors degree required, MBA desired.
  • 4+ years of programming experience including editorial and product management experience, with solid track record of developing and launching successful web-based or consumer products
  • Well versed in emerging new media trends
  • Excellent written/verbal communication and decision-making skills
  • Ability to work in a rapidly changing environment
  • Strong organizational, leadership and relationship building skills
  • Highly analytical, data-driven
  • Proven ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams in a matrixed organization
  • Experience with online Advertising/Subscription-based business models preferred.
  •  Familiar with web analytics tools and data (e.g. Comscore, Omniture, etc.)
