At Benzinga.com, a leading online source of financial news and commentary, we are seeking a dynamic leader to head our editorial team.

Our new Managing Editor must have a track record of creating engaging content and a deep knowledge of the financial markets. The ideal candidate will have an eye for content that is timely, valuable to traders, and traffic-generating.

Benzinga is a fast-growing startup with an entrepreneurial, collaborative work environment. From nerf gun fights to karaoke nights, we like to have fun at work. It also means that the ideal candidate must be flexible and independent-minded. No two days will be the same.  Aside from supervising writers and editing content, a day’s work could include talking with Carl Icahn and appearing on a major television network.

Requirements:

  • Ability to manage a diverse team
  • Vision to help direct the future of Benzinga’s editorial strategy
  • A knack for building relationships with key players in the markets
  • Aptitude for reacting to a breaking news story within seconds
  • Skill at representing Benzinga on television and radio
  • An impeccable eye for copy editing and fact-checking
  • A strong grasp of the financial markets and topics that are most important to traders
