Today’s hottest beat in the best news town you’ll ever work in is open to an enterprising, self-starting reporter who knows how to dig deep for stories. The Bakersfield Californian, a family-owned newspaper two hours north of Los Angeles, is looking for a city government reporter who will also help tackle some general political news, including two upcoming special elections. Candidates must have at least three years of newspaper experience and a proven history of finding and completing hard news, features and projects.
