Description: City Editor: The Tribune, a 35,000 McClatchy newspaper on California’s beautiful Central Coast has an immediate opening for a City Editor. Successful applicants will have at least two years of experience as an assistant city editor (or city editor) at a daily newspaper; web-first mentality and strong sense of urgency to lead newsroom to produce work on multiple platforms; excellent story development, coaching and line-editing skills; excellent communication skills with staff, senior editors, other department heads and the public; strong leadership and strategic planning skills; and strong organizational skills to produce seven-day daily, major enterprise every Sunday and major series a few times each year.
