Editor wanted for award-winning small community newspaper in Lake Preston, SD. Successful candidate will be responsible for reporting, photography, editing and ad sales in Lake Preston community. Must be team player capable of working with the staff in Lake Preston and at its larger sister paper, The De Smet News, in providing feature and news coverage in Kingsbury County. Successful candidate will have creative freedom in addition to support from other team members. We are looking for someone with education and/or experience in journalism and in working with InDesign, Photoshop and MicroSoft Word. We will train the right candidate if you can convince us you have what it takes to succeed as a community journalist. Lake Preston is located in the heart of one of the premier fishing and hunting regions of South Dakota. It is also located about a half-hour west of Brookings, SD., home of South Dakota State University and its Division I Jackrabbit teams.
