The Portland Press Herald/Maine Sunday Telegram seeks an outstanding, accomplished business reporter. We need a talented, curious, motivated reporter who can produce a mix of strong dailies, lively enterprise pieces and compelling narratives – someone who can unearth important stories, break news, employ their database and investigative skills, and use news events as launch pads for blockbuster Page One tales. The ideal candidate is full of ideas, passionate about investigative reporting, adept at writing narratives, comfortable in a digital-first environment, driven by competitiveness, and a believer in multimedia storytelling. You will get data and reports on various sectors before anyone else and develop smart stories off of them, and you will identify trends before the nation’s biggest news outlets notice them, bringing them to life with real people. If you are the best at what you do and share our zeal for ambitious journalism, this might be the opportunity you’ve been waiting for. You will be part of Maine’s finest news organization and live in a region with an extraordinarily high quality of life.
