Description:

Editor/Writer Wanted to Write Daily Income Investing Email Newsletter (Freelance)

Are you passionate about writing? Are you interested the economy, financial markets, and stocks?

Do you have the ability to write engaging copy about world and national events and how they impact the financial markets? Can you connect with an audience of older investors, including retirees?

Do you have the creativity to write engaging editorial on a daily basis for a large audience of income investors?

If so, you might be just the person to write our new daily income investing e-letter.

As an established and growing Internet publisher of investment newsletters and financial content for individual investors, Wyatt Investment Research is seeking an experienced editor to write a new daily income investing e-letter. This email newsletter will share our in-house experts’ opinions on the world financial markets, stock market, Federal Reserve policy, legislation in Washington, and additional topics as they relate to income investing and retirement.

The ideal candidate should first and foremost be able to write creatively with a conversational flair that both entertains and informs. As such, candidates with copywriting and/or creative writing experience are preferred. A working knowledge of and interest in the stock market will help a talented writer succeed in this role.

Expertise and knowledge of income markets and investments – including bonds (government, corporate, and foreign), dividend-paying stocks, MLPs, REITs, BDCs, and other income vehicles – is preferred. A general understanding of macroeconomic principles that impact interest rates and basic investing is also desirable for this position.

This individual will take the lead in writing this e-letter. Specifically, the right person will be responsible for topic ideas and the needed research in order to provide an engaging daily e-letter. Furthermore, this individual may help prepare special income-related reports to grow the e-letter’s subscriber base.

This position is for a freelance ghostwriter who will work with the Managing Editor to write the entire content (typically up to 750 words) in finished format for final editing on a daily basis. This is a part-time contractor opportunity, although it could develop into a full-time position that includes researching and writing for our paid subscription newsletters.

This is a remote work / freelance opportunity.

If you’re looking for a new opportunity to join an entrepreneurial publisher of investment content and advice, then Wyatt Investment Research may be a great fit. You’ll be part of an editorial and research team at Wyatt Investment Research that is focused on finding great investments for our audience of more than 400,000 individual investors around the world. Information about our current newsletters is available at http://www.wyattresearch.com.

Please send us your resume and a writing sample, along with a cover letter explaining why you think you would be perfect for this position. The writing sample should be an entertaining, casual, informative and engaging piece of around 750 words that discusses a recent trend or event in the income market. Submissions without a writing sample will not be considered.

Please submit your materials by email to:  jobs@wyattresearch.com. Please include the phrase “Income Newsletter Editor” in the subject line.
