Description:

The Arkansas Democrat-Gazette is seeking a creative, motivated and energetic Photographer to join the photo staff. Candidate must have exceptional composition skills and the ability to create striking photos from every assignment. Individual should also have good news judgment and ability to propose and produce creative photo story ideas. The successful candidate should have creative problem solving skills and an aptitude for quick learning. Person must also have a strong understanding of digital cameras and related equipment.Assignments range from news, sports, business and features. Some advertising and promotions assignments will also be necessary. Position requires some night and weekend work.

A bachelor’s degree in Journalism, Photography, etc. is desired but appropriate professional experience may be deemed an acceptable substitute. A minimum of 3 yrs. of experience working at a daily newspaper is required.

The Arkansas Democrat-Gazette, Arkansas’ only statewide daily newspaper, has a circulation of 160,000 and is located in Little Rock, AR.
