We are a new up and coming News/Media site looking to hire a blogger to take charge and manage our site.

We have a few goals in mind:

• Become an authority in the online education and education technology space
• Promote fresh content and new developments in online education and technology
• Promote and bring awareness to the public of the rise of online education, technology, open courseware movement.

What we're looking for:

We need a smart web saavy blogger who is passionate about promoting education online. This person should be able to quickly find new happenings, events and developments in news, constantly watching news feed for breaking stories. This person should be able to quickly rewrite news stories into insightful blog posts and actively promote their articles as well as their personal brand. This person should also be adept at conducting interviews, research, and digging deeper into news stories. Ideally, this person should already be in the education space as someone who already contributes actively to other blogs, forums, twitter, and more. In short, we are looking for someone to really take this site and lead the vertical in many aspects. Along with our own resources, your name and face will be the brand of this site.

This person should be capable of:

• Quickly rewrite new stories
• Constantly watch news feed for stories
• Multiple posts a day
• Eagerness to brand, promote and market our site on the web including promoting articles on LinkedIn, Twitter, G+, etc
• Create an editorial calendar of posts on a weekly/monthly basis
• Work with our team to post high quality content
• Work with our developers and product managers to help improve the scope of the site
• Recruit contributors, guest posters, and other editorial staff members to elevate the integrity and quality of site as it grows

• Journalist by nature
