Description:

A leading Caribbean weekly in the British Virgin Islands seeks a reporter with design experience to head supplements. The position involves planning, reporting, writing and taking photographs for regular supplements on a range of topics: education, hurricane preparedness, green issues, Christmas traditions, the annual August Emancipation Festival, sailing, and others. Design experience is a big plus: The ideal candidate would be able to create each supplement from start to finish with minimal supervision.

There is plenty of sailing and surfing here, of course, but this is not a job for sailors or surfers looking to write on the side. Rather, it’s one for a serious, conscientious journalist looking to cover a wide range of issues. The territory is home to one of the largest offshore financial jurisdictions and has recently experienced an unprecedented period of growth. It is also rich in history and culture, with a diverse population from all over the world.
