Description:

The Paducah Sun has an immediate opening for a breaking news reporter. The ideal candidate will have two or more years experience working in a newspaper newsroom, or college equivalent. Versatility is a must. The candidate must be comfortable working as both a reporter and a photographer in areas such as local government reporting and feature writing, as well as breaking news. Experience with social media, online reporting, and open records and public meetings laws is a plus. Weekend and night work is expected. The Sun is the morning seven-day headquarters newspaper of Paxton Media Group LLC, publisher of daily and weekly newspapers in the Southeast and Midwest. Pay is based on experience within constraints of market size. Benefits include 401(k) with company match; life, disability and a choice of health plans; and a 37.5-hour work week.
