Description: Del Val Media, publishers of South Jersey Magazine, Suburban Family, Suburban Life, Philadelphia Life, House & Home and South Jersey Biz, is looking for an assistant editor with at least three years experience with a print publication, preferably with a magazine or newspaper. The ideal candidate will possess sharp editing, writing and conceptual skills, excellent judgment and a high-energy level. Duties will include working with freelance writers and photographers, generating story ideas, managing deadlines and executing overall editorial direction of several monthly publications. The ability to multi-task while focusing on the big picture is a must and experience with AP style is required. Candidates should have a strong foundation and knowledge of the area. Demonstrated managerial skills are a plus. We are looking for someone with a strong work ethic and who is motivated by success.
