Fall Semester in Washington – application postmark deadline is March 15

Undergraduate students - juniors and seniors - spend a 14-week semester covering politics, government and other news and feature stories in the nation’s capital for the Scripps Howard Foundation Wire. Applicants with multimedia skills – including photography and videography – will be given preference over those without them. Interns may also report for hometown news organizations or other news outlets. 

This is a full-time, 14-week internship in downtown Washington.

Program dates: Sept. 4 to Dec. 10.

This internship includes free housing in furnished apartments in Northwest Washington and a stipend of $2,660.

2013-2014 Post-graduate Multimedia Fellow – application postmark deadline is April 1

Recent graduates with bachelor’s or master’s degrees are invited to apply for this yearlong fellowship. The fellowship includes free housing in a furnished apartment and a $22,155 stipend. The fellowship lasts for a year, beginning in late August or early September 2013.

The fellow maintains our website, so applicants must have excellent html and CMS skills. The fellow teaches multimedia skills to undergraduate interns – including the use of DSLR cameras and video editing – coordinates group projects and produces his or her own stories.
