Call for Public Media Fellows:

Fordham University’s Graduate Program in Public Communications and NPR affiliate station, WFUV FM, are pleased to offer year-long fellowships in public media. 

The fellowships offer qualified public media professionals the opportunity to enhance their understanding and skill in public media.  Fellows work to complete their MA studies while working a 20 hour week at WFUV.  Requirements include strong GRE scores, a 3.2 G.P.A, and a distinguished undergraduate record.

The fellowships can carry a full tuition scholarship and a stipend of $21,400.

WFUV fellows will receive high-level mentorship and professional development in public media. Fellows play a significant role in the station's daily operation, working alongside some of the most respected professionals in the industry.

Fellowships are available in a few areas, including digital media, music and news.

Fellows working in digital media will receive practical training in video production, web development and sound engineering.

Fellows working in music will receive practical training in various aspects of broadcasting and the music industry, including artist relations, studio management, radio production, and online content creation.

Fellows working in news will receive practical training in all aspects of public media journalism, from hosting and reporting to editing and show production.  Fellows will also gain experience in newsroom management.
