Description:

The Fort Hood Sentinel has a full-time opening for a design editor. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, design and layout of the weekly newspaper and special sections, designing advertising, photography and assisting in event coverage.

Applicants should be proficient in Adobe InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, digital color correction and use of FTP. They should be comfortable working on a PC and a variety of programs. The position requires a detail-oriented individual who meets deadlines and has excellent grammar and spelling skills. Writing skills are a plus.

A bachelor’s degree or commensurate experience in design or a related field is preferred. Newspaper design experience is a plus.
