BUSINESS OF LAW REPORTER. Missouri Lawyers Media seeks a Kansas City-based business of law reporter to cover Missouri law firms, the legal industry, regional law schools and the local courts. Responsibilities include covering some of the region’s most powerful institutions, compiling and analyzing our exclusive law firm financial rankings (our version of a Fortune 500), contributing to a monthly section focusing on the practicalities of managing a law practice, reporting cover stories and enterprise pieces for our digital and print audiences, developing legal community sources and regularly breaking news. We require at least three years’ newsroom experience and strong clips that, regardless of subject matter, reflect tenacious reporting and excellent writing. We’ll show strong preference to candidates with experience in financial or legal journalism.
