Description:

The Lubbock Avalanche-Journal is looking for a full-time copy editor.  The job consists of editing news stories for accuracy and fairness, writing headlines and designing and building news pages using Incopy and Indesign on deadline, as well as editing for the web, writing web headlines, and learning how to update the web on a Drupal system.  The job includes evening hours and weekend work.  Applicants must have a bachelor’s degree in journalism or related field, time management skills, and skill with copy desk work, including but not limited to grammar, libel issues, newspaper style, and newspaper page design principles.  Send resume to hr@lubbockonline.com.
