Description:

The Pensacola News Journal has an immediate opening for a full-time copy editor with a keen eye for detail and knack for writing headlines to work on its night universal copy desk.

 

This position is responsible for editing stories for publication, writing headlines, proofing pages and coordinating with designers in the Nashville Design Studio on the layout of news, sports and features pages. This position will also be responsible for occasional end-of-night online updates to pnj.com. Candidates must be able to work a flexible schedule including nights and weekends. This is a full-time position with eligibility for a competitive benefits package.

 

Knowledge of CCI NewsGate or other CCI programs is a plus.

 

Pensacola is located in the Florida Panhandle on the shores of Escambia Bay and the Gulf of Mexico.
