Description:

The Pensacola News Journal, an award-winning Gannett Co. Inc. daily located in northwest Florida, is currently looking for a full-time general assignment reporter assigned to write hard news and features.

 

The successful candidate will have a bachelor’s degree in journalism or related field and have a strong background in multimedia and digital reporting. A minimum of two years of reporting experience on a daily newspaper or commensurate experience with an online news provider is required.

 

We’re looking for a reporter with strong AP Style and grammar skills, plus a writing style that is clear, concise and comprehensive. We seek an aggressive reporter to cover breaking news, write color-filled features, and shoot digital photos and video on tight deadlines for our print and online platforms. This reporter will collaborate with editors and generate their own story ideas.

 

PNJ.com reporters blog, use Facebook and tweet breaking news in an evolving digital-first newsroom with a reputation for excellence, toughness and hard-hitting news coverage.
