Our site launched publicly in December and will grow rapidly from a feature and usage perspective over the next few months. What does a Sidelines Sportswriter do? A Sidelines Sportswriter (also known as an MVP) is a leader of the Sidelines Community. A writer sets the tone for other members of Sidelines, elevates the quality of discussions that he or she participates in, and helps grow the community. Sidelines is essentially a collection of individual Communities dedicated to specific sports and each Community comprises a number of posts on topics relevant to that Community. For example, you might find a post in the NFL Community asking "Is the NFL heading for extinction due to safety concerns?" A Sidelines Sportswriter writes posts on Sidelines based on interesting, hot sports topics on sports and teams of the Writer's choice. The Sidelines Sportswriter also writes well-thought-out, insightful responses to as many posts as possible. Responses from Writers on these posts help set the tone and direction for all conversations on Sidelines, as well as help engage and grow the Sidelines user base. There are several guidelines, best practices, tools and other resources available to Sidelines Sportswriters to help them be successful in reaching their goals. Why be a Sidelines Sportswriter?
