Description:

The Orange County Register in Santa Ana, Calif., has an opening for a designer on our communities design desk. This person will produce high-quality front pages and inside display pages for our communities editions. This is an ideal job for a professional with a few years in the industry but looking for a new challenge with a highly-creative design staff.

Must have:

Ability to produce design solutions and integrated packages
Ability to illustrate with photos or art
Ability to use all related software necessary to perform job
A strong record of accuracy
Journalism background, either in education or training
Ability to visually communicate interesting stories with a sense of fun and creativity
Collaborative and communication skills mandatory
The ability to serve as an ambassador of customer service within and outside of the organization. Relates to deadline performance; working in a timely and professional way; puts the reader/viewer first in all critical thinking about the work being produced.
