The Longview News-Journal/Marshall News Messenger, Number 1 for the region’s news and information is accepting applications for a Retail Sales Manager.  This person would be responsible for overseeing the local retail advertising management team and staff. This individual must be a strategic thinker with a track record of executing innovative sales programs and effectively manage performance, mentor and motivate employees to meet overall departmental goals.

The Retail Sales Manager will be responsible to grow revenue both in print and digital product lines and also develop revenue and expense budgets for area of responsibility. This person will excel at building partnerships and relationships and thrive in a high pressure, deadline environment.

Requirements: A 2-year degree, preferably in marketing or communications, along with 5 or more years sales/management experience is required. Candidate must possess excellent oral and written communication skills. This person must also be creative, new idea generating, deductive reasoning, good negotiating skills, and work great with people.
