GENERAL MANAGER/EDITOR

A fourth-generation family owned newspaper in northeastern Kansas seeks a community oriented General Manager/Editor with a hands-on management style. Ideal candidate for our five-day newspaper will be a proven editor who works closely with the editorial staff to oversee and produce compelling story ideas and well-written content for the print and online editions. The willingness to lead by example from advertising sales to assisting with creative page layout and design using Quark and/or InDesign is necessary. You will also have an analytical side that provides oversight and direction for the business department. This will include creating financial reports and analysis for internal use and for the publisher and business manager of the nearby sister-newspaper.
