Description: Copy editor/page designer The Killeen Daily Herald is seeking a talented copy editor/page designer to join its award-winning news staff. The successful individual will have at least two years of experience with a daily or weekly newspaper and demonstrate a flair for page design with snappy, accurate headlines and diligent proof-reading. We will consider top-shelf college graduates with internships at a daily newspaper’s copy desk. Knowledge of Adobe InDesign and Photoshop are a must. Proficiency in AP style and grammar must be demonstrated. If you are driven and love pagination, you might be a good fit on our copy desk. Hours are 3 p.m. to midnight, although there are some day shifts when we put together our three weekly publications and other special issues. Killeen is home to Fort Hood, the largest military base in the nation, and located in Central Texas not far from metropolitan areas such as Austin and Dallas.
