Description:

We've recently lost designers to the Tampa Bay Times and the Virginian-Pilot. Who'll be next in the pipeline to the majors?

We seek a designer/editor to produce features, news and sports pages. The top candidate will:

- Design news with flair and serious journalistic purpose

- Be flexible enough to make A1, sports, features and formatted inside pages

- Work well with others

- Be a strong advocate for great journalism and great design

- Possess strong copy-editing skills.

Why Casper, Wyo.? Three main reasons:

- Depth: We encourage terrific work that's way above the level of a 26k daily. Check out http://apple.copydesk.org/2012/08/26/football-preview-section-casper-wyo-star-tribune

- Breadth: You'll be working on news, features and sports pages.

- Range: Wyoming has the great outdoors as no other state in the lower 48. There are very few wild places left in America. And they are here.

What would give you an edge?

- Headline and alt-story-form skills

- Infographics or illustration skills

- Web design or app development

Tools: We use Adobe CS5 on PCs.
