POLITICO is seeking an experienced journalist to lead our coverage of technology policy. The ideal candidate will have a firm grasp of what makes a POLITICO story – together with the writing chops and subject-matter expertise needed to help produce a steady stream of those stories every day.

Qualifications:

Candidates should have deep familiarity with the workings of the agencies and congressional committees that deal with tech policy in Washington. But candidates should also be prepared to show that they can improve on standard trade-publication reporting. Candidates should have a history of challenging the journalistic status quo – and of delivering compelling journalism in unconventional ways. Accuracy is essential; so are speed and style. Experience with multimedia and aggregation is a plus.
