The Associated Press seeks a Director of Broadcast Products for its New York City location. The Director of Broadcast Products manages a portfolio of AP's text, audio, digital and photo/graphic products that primarily serve Television and Radio customers. He/she will identify and prioritize market opportunities, develop and execute a US product strategy, and contribute to AP's global product strategy. This individual must be able to transform ideas and market research into detailed business plans and requirements, ultimately products and product improvements that will drive growth opportunities for the company. He/she must be comfortable collaborating at all levels of the company and especially with editorial, technical, marketing, finance, sales teams and senior management.

Product Responsibilities: *Manage and expand a portfolio of AP products *Create and execute business plans for new products *Identify gaps in core product functionality and content offerings *Conduct market research. Integrate market analysis into product requirements. *Prioritize roadmap of products, features and initiatives for development *Work with sales channels across the company to adapt products, pricing and packaging for different markets *Communicate clearly to all internal and external stakeholders *Develop and drive execution of product launch plans *Analyze product performance and user engagement - pre/post development *Monitor the competitive landscape

Qualifications: The Candidate will have considerable documented experience in product management and/or development with an established media company. At least five years of product management or similar experience is required. He/She must be a self-starter, possess a high degree of self-motivation and the ability to communicate well with all levels of management. A thorough knowledge of news and news services is preferred, not only in traditional media but also in online and digital media as well.

*Travel required - approximately 10% (may include overnight stays) *Bachelor's degree in applicable area of expertise or equivalent experience *Advanced degree a plus *Experience working with television and/or radio companies a plus Advanced-level professional competency in written and spoken English language is required. Authorization to work in the U.S. will be mandatory.
