Blumsday Amalgamated may have the answer. Use the basic tenets of investigative journalism to white papers, case studies and feature stories based on primary sources and interviews. Our small team of writers and editors bring a combined 40,000 hours of journalistic experience to one big idea: to help companies and organizations tell their story directly to customers, vendors and regulators in a transparent, compelling way.

And, who knew, the truth turns out to be a great business. We have worked with several large clients, including Microsoft and Communication Service for the Deaf. And it’s official, we writers suck at sales, and cannot keep up with the work.

We are seeking a dedicated marketing and salesperson with a deep understanding of media ethics help grow our client base. The right candidate will land new assignments, structure our online marketing efforts, manage direct mail and phone outreach and drive awareness through industry events.

Applicants must:

-- Be extremely comfortable using Web-based collaboration tools such as Google Docs, Freshbooks, as well as online meeting tools such as Google Hangouts or Join.Me.

-- Commit to scrupulously logging hours and tracking tasks via our task management system, LiquidPlanner.

-- Be able to thrive in a self-directed environment, outside of a brick-and-mortar office.

-- Enjoy the process of building a small business in an organic, self-financed operation. Integrity is what we sell.. So we do not operate in the traditional rushed, venture funded environment.

We’d prefer:

-- Applicants with both sales and journalism experience in content marketing or media. Backgrounds for example in both PR and news are pluses.

-- Applicants with 5 years or more experience. In fact many times that experience would be prefered, but fresh out of college is not going to work.

-- Those with a passion for telling great stories that clients can trust and be comfortable with.
