The spot:
We are looking for a deadline-oriented writer/journalist who can turn out great content quickly. We’re looking for someone to join our team as a contract writer. CPRW holders will be highly considered, however, it’s not a mandatory requirement.

The Professional Resume Writer will prepare summaries of the qualifications of our customers who are searching for jobs. In addition to preparing resumes, you will craft cover letters, profiles, and other professional job seeker correspondence. The position requires strong interviewing, writing and editing skills, as well as attention to detail and a passionate commitment to creating powerful content in a single version. The position requires the ability to adhere to deadlines. No resume writing experience is needed. We will train you and get you certified. You bring your writing abilities and we'll provide the rest! This is a rare opportunity for a writer or journalist to use your talents to help our clients land their dream jobs.

The skinny:
• You will collect information over the phone from customers as a precursor to writing the resume
• You will delight the customer with the quality of the resume
• You will rewrite customer resumes so they serve as a compelling snapshot of the job seeker's qualifications
• You will write cover letters, LinkedIn profiles, and other professional job search documents
• You will ensure that resumes meet specified standards for format, content and quality
• You will communicate fluently in English, both written and verbal
• You will know and apply all grammar, spelling and punctuation rules

The specs:
• You have earned a bachelor's Degree, preferably in Journalism or Communications
• You have experience delivering high quality content on deadline
• You are skilled at interviewing others for specific information
• You have technical writing or editorial experience or a background in copywriting or proofreading
• You have a passion for quality
• You have strong writing skills and knowledge of grammar and style
• You have some experience with client facing interaction
• You have excellent time management skills
• You are willing to become a certified resume writer
