Description: COLLEGE STUDENTS ONLY! You love sports, and you want your work to be seen by as many people as possible. That’s where we come in. On Campus Sports provides students with the opportunity to cover college sports for a national media company. Our relationship with major publisher partners means exposure to potentially tens of millions of college sports enthusiasts as well as possible job opportunities for you. In that regard, On Campus Sports could serve as your pipeline to a career in the professional media. Immediate Opportunity: We have openings right now for college student journalists interested in covering men's and women's college basketball. But even if your team isn't likely to qualify for tournament play, you are still encouraged to apply. Ongoing Opportunity: We are also seeking students who wish to fill open internship positions with OCS beyond the college basketball season. We will consider student interns who wish to write, photograph or broadcast. We also offer a number of leadership positions for students with excellent editorial and managerial skills. CAMPUS-LEVEL COVERAGE At each university nationwide, we will have a team of student journalists working to fill up that school’s Campus Page. WRITER/PHOTOGRAPHER/BROADCASTER You should have a good understanding of AP style, along with a passion for covering sports and a strong work ethic. You will: There is no minimum amount of time each week that we request of our student journalists. However, if you commit to joining OCS, we expect you to be a regular contributor. Do you want to be a leader, where you get to see your vision turn into reality? As a Campus Leader, you’ll be the managing editor of your university’s Campus Page. This is a critically important leadership position: you will make the daily decisions that will determine the depth and breadth of the content on that Campus Page. You should have a strong understanding of AP style and copyright laws. Moreover, you will: CONFERENCE-LEVEL COVERAGE Once you’re with us for awhile, and we see how great you are, you’ll have opportunities for even greater responsibility and leadership.
