Description:

GateHouse Ohio Media has an immediate opening for a reporter at the Massillon Independent and is anticipating additional openings in Massillon and at the Canton Repository in the coming months.

The Times-Reporter in Dover/New Philadelphia, The Suburbanite in Green and Jackson Township and the North Neighbor News in North Canton and Plain Township also are part of GateHouse Ohio, which is headquartered in Canton with a joint page design and production facility. Individual publications, where reporters are based, have their own newsrooms.

GateHouse Ohio newsrooms value watchdog journalism above all else. We also look for multimedia expertise (with photos, videos and particularly with social media), great writing and a great work ethic with our reporters. We prefer candidates with experience but will consider a recent graduate with great clips.

Massillon and Canton are Guild newsrooms and reporter pay is based on experience.
