Description:

The Nashville Business Journal is seeking a part-time Associate Print Editor to assist in producing a high-impact, engaging print edition for Music City’s business leaders.

The Associate Print Editor is a critical player in the planning and production of the NBJ’s weekly print edition. The ideal candidate must be highly organized, have a keen editing eye, and be able to deftly manage projects and people.

The Associate Print Editor serves as the publication’s top quality control officer, establishing and executing processes that ensure proofing and editing of all print content, as well as some editing of online content. This editor plans and executes weekly paper features and special publications. Responsibilities include assigning content, copy editing, proofing pages and recruiting and coordinating with guest columnists and freelancers.

The Associate Print Editor also may serve as the editorial department’s liaison with other departments for special publications, events and other cross-departmental activities.

The Associate Print Editor must keep the organization’s goals for audience development, engagement and growth foremost in mind while executing this important role.
