Description: PAGE DESIGNER/COPY EDITOR — The News & Advance has an opening for a page designer/copy editor to join our desk in Lynchburg, Va., handling pages for The News & Advance and the Danville Register & Bee, as well as five weekly newspapers. The job involves designing pages for all sections of the newspapers, writing headlines and display type, and proofing pages, in addition to working carefully with local and wire copy. Quark or InDesign experience essential. Daily experience preferred, but entry-level with college experience will be considered. You must be able to work nights, weekends and holidays. Lynchburg is located in the beautiful foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains in Central Virginia. It's a college town with a thriving downtown and arts scene, a minor league baseball team, and is one of the best places anywhere to get outdoors for running, hiking, biking, and canoeing.
