Description:

Once in a while, a good opportunity comes along. Farlex, Inc., seeks an assistant editor with a passion for history and a love for words and the English language. We are looking for someone who can contribute to www.TheFreeDictionary.com and www.TheFreeLibrary.com, our flagship websites. Responsibilities include writing, research, fact checking, proofreading, and copy editing. Good experience for those interested in editing and/or writing.

Requirements:

Bachelor's in English, Journalism, or a related field preferred.

  • Excellent writing skills.
  • Solid Microsoft Office skills.
  • Web savvy.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills as well as good interpersonal and presentation skills.
  • Eye for detail in proofreading.
  • Background and interest in the English language and world history.
  • Excellent Internet research and word processing skills.
