Description:

PK4 Media is seeking a highly energetic editor with the capability to manage writers, to edit articles according to AP guidelines, to work with content management systems (CMS), specifically WordPress, to organize and deploy editorial content for healthdailyonline.com and whiskedfoodie.com and to grow the websites’ social media presence. The candidate will be able to develop and maintain online content and develop our social media presence. The work will include editing articles, managing a team of writers, working with video production companies for companion content, developing website aesthetics, optimizing SEO on content pages and promoting readership growth, including but not limited to social media outlets. This is not a telecommuting position. The candidate will must work in-house.

Responsibilities:

Build/develop, deploy and update content pages on our website(s) using CMS (WordPress)
Retrieve, organize and utilize files from remote file server to upload onto website
Use proprietary ad-server to pull publisher tags for advertisement placements
Proactive daily perusal of website to verify site aesthetics and proper functionality
Grow and maintain social media presence for websites
Manage a team of writers to ensure quality and authenticity
Communication with production company for companion video content
Upload and distribute video companion content
Promote SEO use on all websites
Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

Detail-oriented with an evaluative eye for website aesthetics and accurate content organization
Two to five years of experience in editing and writing
Ability to work independently and juggle multiple tasks at once
Excellent oral and written communication skills, including ability to take initiative and perform excellent follow-up and follow-through
Proficient in Microsoft Office, Photoshop and Content Management Systems
Extensive experience in social media management, such as Facebook, Twitter, Flickr, and Pinterest
Possess a friendly, outgoing personality
Knowledge of AP and APA Style
